A contemporary renovation honors the building's heritage, creates dynamic learning spaces embracing the latest pedagogies and technologies.

The renovation respects the heritage of one of the original 1960s Walter Netsch buildings on campus. We adhered to a tight budget and schedule for the renovation of four lecture halls and five common areas. The design softens hard edges and converts lecture halls to a case study format with improved acoustics, accessibility, technology and building systems. The project converts previously peripheral and unused spaces located at entrances, corridors and in a center rotunda into welcoming and attractive student amenity areas with vibrant color schemes and access to natural light. The functional, multi-media capable and adaptable design ideas cumulate in a visually striking and technologically rich facility that remains sympathetic to the original design.
