Featuring the work of architecture firms around the world, the planners of the New Chicago Architecture exhibit selected the most notable designs from submissions to The Chicago Athenaeum’s prestigious annual American Architecture Awards.

LVDA’s design for the 30-story Student Housing High Rise brings an urban student population together, contributing to a vibrant 24/7 University district. The structure’s unique architecture features fragmented programmatic components that result in a bold building with a cohesive single identity.

The exhibit will be on display at 332 South Michigan Avenue, Chicago through November 17, 2015 and then will embark on a world tour this spring starting in Milan and continuing to Athens, Hong Kong and other cities in Asia and Europe. A 500-page book entitled New Chicago Architecture published by Metropolitan Arts Press will accompany the traveling exhibition.
