Description

The plan assists the Chicago Housing Authority in developing a sustainable strategy of rehabilitation for the eight-building public housing property. It provides a process to maximize performance of energy efficiency, resident comfort and water use when revevitalizing an environmentally and economically sustainable housing development. Weaving the many threads of landscape and urban design, density, building systems and code requirements, deferred maintenance and other aspects of the project’s original brief into a vibrant and dynamic whole, yields an environment that emphasizes quality, citizenship and community.
