Renovation of a full floor condominium unit originally designed by LVDA in 1996. Though our original plan remains largely intact, the material, lighting and finish approach was completely revised to create a more contemporary environment for the owner’s collection of modern and contemporary art.
The landmark building was originally built as the Mayfair Regent Hotel in the 1920s and convert to private residences in the 1990s. The plan of the 6,300 square foot residence is organized to complement the building’s T-shaped plan, with bedrooms located at the south bar and the living, dining and public rooms in the stem to the north to maximize lake views.
