Description

The renovation respects the heritage of one of the original 1960s Walter Netsch buildings on campus. We adhered to a tight budget and schedule for the renovation of four lecture halls and five common areas.

The design softens hard edges and converts lecture halls to a case study format with improved acoustics, accessibility, technology and building systems. The project converts previously peripheral and unused spaces located at entrances, corridors and in a center rotunda into welcoming and attractive student amenity areas with vibrant color schemes and access to natural light. The functional, multi-media capable and adaptable design ideas cumulate in a visually striking and technologically rich facility that remains sympathetic to the original design.
